There's already a thread for it. Go search for it.

Cue dinosaurs pics.

When I want to fall asleep to music, I play my Ambience playlist, very low volume of course. Works well.

(For some reason, this induces dreams about Lexx, more so than normal anyway. )

The best ambient mailing list carried out a survey about this in 2003. Results here.

Both. The longer you've been around, the more threads you'll have seen and remember. But regardless of how long you've been here, forum search is a great resource too.

I dunno about you people, but I go to bed with some Metal in the background. (Prog. Metal/Rock, though, it's different... )

Edit: Oh, Forum King user title, damn, it's about time!

System of a Down wakes me up if its on when I'm asleep. One time I was listening to Radiostorm, hard rock or something like that, System of a Down came on and it woke me up. That happened 2 or 3 times. This also happened with some song from Revis.

There is no sig.

It could be argued using contemporary music theory that the quiet ambience in your own room is the best music to sleep to - random yet ordered, and generally not loud.
