Question HELP! What music do I like?

Sort of a silly topic, but I'm kind of picky about music and have lots of trouble figuring out what songs to buy. Given some songs that I like, can someone recommend others to me?

I like sort of upbeat energetic music with a good beat. My favorites include:

* "What is Love" - Haddaway
* "This is Your Night" - Amber
* "Be My Lover" - La Bouche
* almost everything on the Scarface soundtrack, such as "Push it to the Limit" or whatever the title is, "Rush Rush", "She's on Fire", and "I'm Hot Tonight".
* "Barbie Girl" - Aqua
* "Kids in America" - Kim Wilde
* "Atomic" - Blondie
* "Crocodile Rock" - Elton John

and there's some others that are good (Beach Boys, early Michael Jackson, and others). Anyone with similar tastes (or not) know of other good songs, from any decade?

Umm Aqua, Elton John, early Michael Jackson......not bad.
Hey, why don't you try some boy-bands?They are the best.
Here are they
Westlife
Boyzone
Savage Garden
BSB
NSync
MLTR
Human nature
Monkees
New kids on the block........

All pop music is good music but all good music isn't pop music
Wanna know more about pop music or my boy-bands?
Westlife / Backstreet Boys / Savage Garden / NSync / Michael Learns to Rock

Are you being sarcastic? I haven't heard a single good "boy band". For the record I'm a 23-year-old guy. NSync and New Kids are bad, but I haven't heard anything by the rest (except, OK, one decent Monkees song).

Haven't heard of them. I'll check them out, thanks. Maybe I am non-American in tastes. I am an American though, if you guessed.

WTF? One post per 60 seconds? Weird.

Yeah, I easily noticed you were American (from your forum accent ) And 60sec here is nothing compared to the pace of GD (a post almost every 10sec!!!)

BTW, have you heard of 'Safri Duo' or the 'Chemical Brothers'? I suggest you'd check them out as well

Thanks for the replies... I'll try to check out the bands that were mentioned; it's easy to download samples from Amazon or somewhere else.

Also I just remembered another song I like - "Obsession" by Animotion. I've never heard of them but I heard this song in GTA3: Vice City and it's very good.

CG, I'd wait for some of the gamers to pop in. There's a couple out there that are really into that type of music. It'll just take a couple of days to pry them away from their consoles

BTW, I still say electroclash is far better than any trance that ever lived.
