Do you hate apola? No!

Would you just like to see said person listen to something else? YEP!

Go on then, recommend something.

Hey, it's a band, it's made up of males, isn't that a "boy band" , by the strictest of definitions.?

Nah, I disagree...

Ministry & OMD are 'man bands'. Men, not boys.

Extreme Noise Terror :- A Holocaust In Your Head

Overall, this is a great record, and a must for Thrash/Punk/Grind/Crust deviants out there. Oh, and it has a cool picture of one of the singers snorting coke in the back cover of the CD case. Punk Rock!!!

That'll do it

I agree, I think we have got to stay on the light side of life here, don't want to frighten the poor girl.

Apola, these guys are The La's They made one album before they broke up, an album that 90% of the worlds bands wish they could have made, its that good. It contains some of the most beautifully writen pop songs ever, by arguablely, Britians finest songwriter, Lee Mathers, thats him second from the left.

Get this album, you will love.

It's been said that I could start an arguement in an empty room.....I see no reason to disbelieve this.

LOL........I’ve better things to do
“Obvious” the new single of Westlife will be out in February 23rd
Michael Learns to Rock will also have their new alum in this Feb.

Talking about recommendation....if you can recommend songs for me……what if I told ya to listen to these bands?
And Cylob u really hurt me......you even never heard the name of MLTR (Michael Learns to rock) . How could a hard-core music lover like you skip this band? After all they don’t have the reputation of typical boy-bands…... Is there anyone in this forum who knows how great this Danish boy-band is?
Ok here is my proposal........you all start listening to boy-bands........I’ll try out your choices(I can do anything for boy-bands)
You go ahead, Start with this masterpiece

MLTR_Someday

All pop music is good music but all good music isn't pop music
Wanna know more about pop music or my boy-bands?
Westlife / Backstreet Boys / Savage Garden / NSync / Michael Learns to Rock

What's the inverse of "Boy Band"?

"Riot Grrrl", of course!

So here's a nice selection of three that I'd recommend.

Pick one and enjoy!

Apola, this is the man to start with, everything else flows from him, even your beloved boybands....refer to the artists' sketch.

I recommend "James Brown : Live At the Apollo"

Read about the godfather of soul here

Heh, Bikini Kill kicks ass. Though I would recommend this before "Hungry for Stink"

Still not sure what calls for the advisory sticker though. Maybe they were just being stupid when they designed the artwork.

I recommend Linkin Park. No, they're not the greatest rock band out there, but for a hardcore boy band lover like her, they're a good introduction to rock.

The warning is because of the lyrics from track 10, "Shitlist".

Quote:
...
When I get mad
And I get pissed
(Shitlist)
I grab my pen
And write out a list
(Shitlist)
Of all you assholes
Who won't be missed
(Shitlist)
You've made my shitlist
...
Not for the little'uns.

Ah yes. I always forget about shitlist. The main songs I remember are Wargasm and Slide. I never listen far enough to get to shitlist.

And just on surfing through her I just realized it's recommend something, not necessarily music.

So in this state, I must recommend the one thing that always kills a love of boy bands... a lobotomy! Who needs that pesky frontal lobe anyways. All it gives you are things like personalities and the boyband disease.

-Disclaimer-

If you don't see this as a joke you need serious help.

Wholesome, wise words.
