relay server help
well, lets get some info from you first....
YOu need RELAY SERVER help.... Are you running a server now on any machine? For your server, are you running WINDOWS or LINUX? Very basically, make sure the server that you are going to relay FROM will allow a relay to connect. [look thru the sc_serv.ini comfiguration file to check settings.] It's under the SERVER CONFIGURATION section: [example] ============= ; AllowRelay determines whether or not other SHOUTcast servers will be ; permitted to relay this server. The default is Yes. AllowRelay=Yes ======================== On the server you are relaying TO, find the NETWORK CONFIGURATION section, and put in the IP and port # for the server you're relaying FROM. [example] =========== ; RelayPort and RelayServer specify that you want to be a relay server. ; Relay servers act as clients to another server, and rebroadcast. ; Set RelayPort to 0, RelayServer to empty, or just leave these commented ; out to disable relay mode. RelayPort=8000 RelayServer=192.168.1.58 =============== notice at the bottom of that section, the ";" was removed, and an IP and port # are now there... these are from the server you're relaying FROM. Hope that makes sense... I'm jsut a newbie t othis myself but happenedto learn that one early.
