Recording (not playing) linein://

I have seen several posts for this that only seem to explain how to play the URL linein://

I downloaded and installed a special linein plugin. Yet I do not understand (from the usability side) how I create a MP3 or other file from my old cassettes playing into linein.

Can someone please tell me how? Please be careful if supplying a reference to some other answer: I can see the input equalizer lines dance when I play my cassette, so my issue is not that I cannot make Winamp Pro LOOK at my linein... I simply do not know how to record from it.
