Delay problem with Winamp
Hi all,
I have a annoying problem with winamp using the chronotron plugin. When changing pitch it doesn't have effect immediately, it's with a delay of about 5 seconds. Why is it ? I have pentium IV 2,5 Ghz. Greetz Symtex |

Hi,
It has nothing to do with that because : in output plugin Buffer length is set to 2000 ms prebuffering 500ms buffer ahead on track : 0ms Even if I change buffer length and prebuffering to 0 ms and press apply it just stays the same; btw the five seconds I talked about are even more than 5 seconds. I have no idea how to contact that author
But I don't believe it's the plugin. I have the same issue if I change an equalizer preset in winamp or simply change something on the EQ. I had it with winamp 3.0 also. Maybe I can give you my specs INTEL pentium 4 cpu 2,53 Ghz Nvidia 4 geforce TI4200 128Mb DDR TV-Out Soundmax integrated digital Audio (I guess it's a standard soundcard) Motherboard INTEL D845EPT2 FSB 533Mhz DDR SDRAM 256Mb (266Mhz) Windows XP proffessional SP2 DirectX 9.0b Greetz and thanks for trying to help me out SyMt[ ]-X

problem seems to be solved
I used my brain and went to that soundmax configurationin configuration panel. There was a choice between 4MB General Midi and 1,2MB XGLite it was set on the 4Mb Midi and when I switched it on good luck to the 1,2 Mb XGlite the delay problem was solved. I don't know what the difference between those 2 standard synthesizer sets are and why it has effect on winamp. But anyway it worked. maybe you know more about it. Greetz SyMt[ ]-X
