Broadcasting question

Ok guys lets see if someone can hook a brother up.

Im trying to broadcast to a friend and Im having difficulty. I use the software regularly to broadcast a live show I have. However recently Im having great difficulties getting connected. Im in a small network at home only two computers. The computer im using to broadcast is running:
Win Xp Home
Audigy 2 Plat. Sound Card

How can i get this issue resolved...? Does it have anything to do with the network. I did have it working on the network recently but for some reason today its not working.

Which software? You mean Shoutcast DNS/DSP?
