Administration Access?
Ok I got the station up all on my own and people are connecting etc.. I have one question. When I go to the http page to see my songlisting, streaming page, station info and I go to get in the administration section it asks for a name and password, I know the password is in my files I configured but where does the name it wants come from? Thats my big question ;)
My Second Question is is there a way to have a name instead of numbers for people to connect to my station? And while I am posting, how does a station show up in the media listing under internet radio in winamp? I can see my station listed at shoutcast when searched but is the media listing just for bigger stations or do I need to apply or do something to be listed on that? Thanks TVSBBS |

username = 'admin' (without the quotes) and is not configurable
password = defined in the DNASs sc_serv.ini configuration file (default section shown below): code: ----- also in the DNAS: ; NameLookups. Specify 1 to perform reverse DNS on connections. ; This option may increase the time it takes to connect to your ; server if your DNS server is slow. Default is 0 (off). NameLookups=0 |

When I try to login into the Admin center, I can't. I set my pass and i login as admin
; AdminPassword. This password (if specified) changes the ; behavior of Password to be a broadcast-only password, and ; limits HTTP administration tasks to the password specified ; here. The broadcaster, with the password above, can still ; log in and view connected users, but only the AdminPassword ; will grant the right to kick, ban, and specify reserve hosts. ; The default is undefined (Password allows control for both ; source and admin) ; AdminPassword=MYPASS |

Make sure that you eliminate the semicolon ( ; ) before the "; AdminPassword=MYPASS" line.
