Peer to Peer

Peer to Peer has caught up plenty - the problem is that no one has enough outgoing bandwidth to host a decent stream.

Its not really a good idea for someone who has no product and no revenue from a stream to pay a hosting company to stream their stuff. Its not worth it to pay your broadband provider money to increase your upstream bandwidth just so people can leech from you.

I have probably over a hundred and fifty movie trailers encoded into NSV, and I want to put up a movie trailer stream, but I simply can't (and won't) do it. Its not cost effective. Its not rewarding enough, even though I *KNOW* people will watch.

The "cool" level is high, but its a lot of work and expenditure for ZERO return.

ZERO return, and in most cases a heavy investment of time and money. That is why there aren't more stations than there are now.
