Stupid stupid stupid

I was a fan of winamp and I joined this forum just to tell you NULLSOFT, how disappointed I am from you. I know you will tell me that I don't know how hard is to code all the stuff, and developers haw no influence on that, and such crap, bla bla. I know that, I'm a developer too.

A media player should be fast, compact, look good and be practical to use. And what you do? You make people ask "what are the requirements?", please!!! OK winamp3 supports a lot of stuff, well that's the only good thing about winamp. I never tried winamp5 and never will, because allready winamp3 was too slow.

The second thing is the support for other operating systems.
I'ts a real shame for Linux. Winamp would fit perfectly into Linux desktop. The wasabi engine is open source? Why not the whole winamp?

The third thing is your website. It's damn slow. And where are winamp2 skins? I don't find the last thing that I need on your page. Over one year, I was waiting for Linux version and visited your forums to find out that damn good news.

Well it seems that is not winamp developers fault. I heard from somewhere that some other company is dictating NULLSOFTS fate. Sorry for that

One more thing, I am wery convinced that many poeple use winamp because it was good in the past. Noone needs a media player that takes half of system resources just to play music, or buys a new computer to play music with winamp5.

I miss old good winamp2 times when all was smooth and handy to use. Good bye NULLSOFT team you made me wery happy and you spoiled all.

Next thing im going to do is, sit behind my computer to code for xmms (I wonder if you know what that is), without waiting for winamp

I'm no computer genius but I seiously doubt it.
If windows were to fall....because of all these microsoft haters....whichever OS takes over will have the same haters haking them so its kind of "stupid stupid stupid" for you to say that.

As for winamp...its has only gotten better.

Okay, I usually don't feed the trolls, but I am in a good mood:

1). Winamp3 was a totally separate product. Winamp 5.X is based on Winamp 2.X. If your system can't handle Modern Skins, you don't have to use them. Hell, you don't even have to install it. Is there in the installer, you can uncheck it. Same as the Media Library, video, SC ripping and burning and all other plug-ins. Because they are optional. And you know what you get when you don't install all the optional stuff? Winamp 2.X. Yes, it's the same damn thing.

2. Winamp 5.X will not be ported to Linux. Nullsoft has a very small and over worked development staff. They need to focus their time on the Win32 version. Its the one most people on the most popular operating system in the world. I love Linux, it is great, don't get me wrong. But don't think you can go around demanding that software companies make everything open source and port to Linux. Hate to break it to you: NOBODY FUCKING CARES ABOUT LINUX. If you want Winamp 5 for Linux be prepared to wait for a LONG time. Otherwise be useful and that time you spend whining and work on XMMS.
