Why Won't Album Track Appear On AudioMatch?

When i had Winamp 3 and I played a cd on my winamp it would say the name of the track on the audiomatch.net account that i have, but when i got winamp 5 now it just says the track number. Is their an option i can fix to make it show on audiomatch.net THank you.

Don't use AudioMatch so I can only take a guess. It might be an incompatibility with WA5's advanced title formatting and the AM plug-in.
Ctrl+P (for preferences) > General Preferences > Titles > uncheck 'Use advanced title formatting when popssible'

Third party plug-ins are not supported on the forums, please contact the plug-in developer.

Sorry, I am not aware of another plugin that will do that. However, according to the AudioMatch About page their plug-in is based on the Do Something plugin.

To satisfy my curiosity I went to audiomatch.net, but I could not find a download link for their plug-in. Is there something that I am missing or did I go to the wrong webpage? (Just curious)

are you using the correct plugin? you said it worked on wa3, but wa5 doesn't support wa3 plugs. or at least not that i am aware of. most likely, it is a difference in plugs than a problem with winamp, but not sure.

When you take a hand and chop the fingers off... what do u get?

That would be the knub.

Possible, but I don't think that is the issue here. Winamp3 uses components (.WAC files) as "plug-ins" and are based on the Wasabi platform. Winamp3 is a separate media player and was built from the ground up. Winamp 2/5 plug-ins are based on theWin32 core. In other words WA3 components simple will not work (at all) with Winamp 5. A good idea though.

Maybe it does need to be updated. However AM does need to update their about page. WA5 is still referred as beta. Hopefully Michael319 will be able to contact them for tech support or a update.

This turning in to a discussion and before it goes too far - nuff said.
