Playlist not showing all my files.

Ok, I've encountered this error in previous Winamp versions but it is really starting to bug me now. I have all my mp3s in one directory called D:\mp3. I have Winamp set to "Read metadata when files are loaded into Winamp" in the titles section of the preferences. When I use the add directory command for the playlist I get 6,580 mp3s but after the list is done finding all the mp3s and put it in a list I usually save the playlist file. If I close Winamp and open the playlist file I only have 6,499 mp3s listed.

I opened the saved .m3u file in notepad and the mp3s that are missing in this listed when loaded into Winamp are listed in the file, just for some reason they are not listed in the actual program. I am just wondering why 81 songs aren't listed when I load my list and if this is a problem with Winamp or with my mp3s, in terms of how they were created or if something else is wrong like the ID3 tag or something like that. I'm running Winamp 5.02 right now. Hope that helps. Sorry if this is a repost, I tried search but didn't have any luck.

Weird.
What happens if you remove file # 6500 from the list?
Does it load ok?

For some reason the files that seem to be missing are in the folder in side the mp3 folder called #'s. So I loose groups like 311, 2 Pac, and 3 Doors Down, you get the idea.

Aah. That could definitely bear some relevance.
If you look at the .m3u structure
you'll see that the # hash character is used to signify extended info, eg.
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF

So, I guess that when it sees a #
it assumes it to be just 'extended info', and not an actual separate entry.

Apart from renaming the containing folder (eg. 000-999), or maybe trying to save to .pls instead, I can't think of any other solution...
