Testing problems

I have setup and configured Shoutcast DNAS. I am using PCDJ 3.9 and am sending data to the Shoutcast DNAS beautifully. From what I understand to get a client to connect you use http://server.ip:8000 however I cannot connect... Read through TONS of documentation. I had also read that http://server.ip:8000/listen.pls is another input into winamp play location. both return "Error connecting to host" in winamp. I am fairly well versed in socket servers however my Shoutcast knowlege is only what I've found in online documentation.

I plan to invest over $15000 on my Internet Radio broadcasting project so all the input I get will be greatly appreciated.
