I can't keep it up.
I run sc_serv and sc_nsv on a freebsd 4.6 server. Sc_serv stays up fine, but sc_nsv dies after a short time. It doesn't seem to return any errors, it just goes down.
Could it be that I need to send the process to the background? I think it has to do with my Putty client going inactive and thus the processes being run through the client die with it. Suggestions? How do I send the process to the background and thus allow me to shut down putty but not sc_nsv? Can I set it up on some sort of cron job? Is there any web based software out there that allows me to monitor sc_nsv and restart it without logging into the server? |
