need help analysing a poem

AP teachers are like: "Analyze this", and then you're so bent on "Analyzing" it, that you Over-Analyze it to the point where you start going into how you think the poem had something to do with the Writer's bad childhood when his cousin thrice-removed died because his great-grandfather choked on a lemon, and about how the lemon-producing company was from France, and something about the French-Revolution.
