no, the dnas is on the server downstairs (which has a direct connection) and the dsp is on my local machine .... but finally i found out how the relayserver option works but thats not the solution for my problem (since i cant change the settings on the "final" dnas server - where the listeners connect)
so, ill explain my situation again ... im running the dsp on my local computer upstairs (comp#1). on my server downstairs runs the dnas server (comp#2). comp#2 is directly connected to the internet and works as router/gatewayserver for my local network. now if i want to stream to a computer somewhere in the internet (comp#x) i connect with comp#1 with the dsp to comp#2 with the dnas. so the relayserver dnas settings on comp#x has to be changed so it gets the informations from comp#2 .... this system works if someone starts a testserver for me with like a maximum of 10 listeners (since its running on someons private computer) .... but, this will not work if i want to connect to a "real" dnas server since i dont have access to the sc_serv.ini there to setup the relayserver ip and port.... isnt there something i can do that: i connect with comp#1 to the dnas on comp#2 and the comp#2 FORWARDS the information from the dnas on comp#2 to comp#x (i hope youre not too confused now lol) |
