d-link router, internet sharing, Windows firewall
I put everything into the virtual server slot corectly and I opened up the port in the firewall and I also tryed tuning it off. Still nothing has worked. What kind of things can you do with the internet sharing? I still get these two messages:
<02/27/04@14:44:38> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak) <02/27/04@14:44:38> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 24.197.177.158:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out)) The IP it is showing is the WAN IP not the LAN IP. Which should it have? |

go to 192.168.0.1 thats d-links home page
the password is ADMIN that gets you in after that click on advanced on the left hand side, then click on forwarding at the top of the page, then you need to put the last to digits to your ip address in and put your port number then check the enable box. That should work it worked for me. Good Luck, Barry |

Still get error
I did all of that and I'm still getting the error mentioned above:
<02/29/04@01:09:39> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak) <02/29/04@01:09:39> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 207.246.181.249:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out)) I can get it working among people connected to the router, but that's using my LAN IP, but outside of the router it doesn't seem to be broadcasting... Any Ideas would be appreciated |

by default that is an online IP, you need to make sure your routers ports are forwarded (for your config, make sure TCP is allowed for ports 8000 and 8001 to the specified computer.
If you are running XP make sure that you do not have the XP firewall running. I Make. Perform. Mix. Play. Music. |

I had the same problem, on the forwarding, I checked UDP and not TCP, and then mine has a sectin for setting up a DMZ, and I use that as my local IP.
