cannot connect to server to broadcast from Winamp
I missent this message to winamp forum so to redo it..... I went through the steps to install shoutcast plugins to broadcast... went through all the steps successfully but when it came to clicking on the connect button, it tried to connect for 34 seconds, then waited thirty seconds, and tried to reconnect again... this is as far as I got... I cannot get the shoutcast to connect to the server to broadcast... any suggestions to repair this problem?

Do you have a DNAS (SHOUTcast server) installed?
Did you change the DNAS variables srcIP and destIP from ANY? Is your DNAS and Winamp/DSP combo on the same machine? What exactly are you entering for "Address" and "Port" in the DSP? Please answer them all to expidite your help request. Please read some polite advice. |

in answer to the questions asked:
Do you have a DNAS (SHOUTcast server) installed? Linux shoutcast server. Did you change the DNAS variables srcIP and destIP from ANY? No. Is your DNAS and Winamp/DSP combo on the same machine? No. What exactly are you entering for "Address" and "Port" in the 213.239.185.245:7000 whats the diagnosis doc? |

Looks good so far.
Are the Winamp/DSP combo abd DNAS on the same lan? Does the DNAS machine have the source port (portBase+1) opened and forwarded? Please verify the password used in the Winamp/DSP combo matches the DNASs password. I am able to see a DNAS at http://213.239.185.245:7000/ |
