Another Person with Connection Trouble
Hi, I am a little new to shoutcasting, and I hope you can file dthis question. I followed the instructions to begin shoucasting, using my own machine as the server. I tried to gonnect, and I got the yp gave extended error of death. I have Norton Internet Security 2K2, but I went into options and added 8000 and 8001 to my HTTP ports list. I also am using a Linksys Wireless Router, but I am hard wired to it and there are no port opening options on it. I am curious if anyone knows of any small things they did to either windows or an internet security program that allowed them to connect, as it may be the fix for me. I know it is one little checkbox I need to check or uncheck to allow the signal to leave my computer and access the Shoutcast servers. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help.

(FIRST, go to the start menu, run..., enter "command". In there, enter "ipconfig".. copy down the entry after "IP Address......")
Go into your internet browser and enter "192.168.1.1" (without quotes). Leave the username part empty and in the pass, put "admin". On the top right, hit "advanced". On top, click "forwarding". Enter the following:
