winamp 5 wont load my songs

i have a little over 4,000 songs. when i try to load them into winamp 5, it will wait a little bit, then just crash. any solutions, or should i just go back to 2.x?

edit: i had it setup to read tags and sort by name on load...i took those off, and now they load up but it seems to make winamp freeze, and then crash.

no thoughts? i am using 2.91 now, and it works fine. so i guess i will stick with that, unless anyone knows why its doing this.

Based on the lack of info provided, we've got absolutely no idea.

System specs?

Was this a clean install of Winamp 5.02?

Installed any potentially dodgy/incompatible 3rd-party plugins?

What file formats are your songs?
What method are you using to load them?

What are the details of the crash? Any error messages?
