Winamp changing icons & file descriptions
I am running windows XP SP2 home edition. I recently chose to associate my video files with winamp 5.02, whereas previously they had been associated with WMP. I had changed all my icons for video files to what I wanted - when I associated these files with winamp it changed the icons and changed all the file descriptions to "Winamp Media File". While I do want to use winamp to open these files, I certainly dont want all music and video files described as "winamp media file" and I definitely dont want them all having the same icon. I have tried changing the icons etc back in folder options -> file types, but when I, for instance change the icon for mp3 files and change their description to mp3, all winamp associated files including video files, get this icon and file description. I have tried telling winamp not to associate with these files, and manually associating them with winamp in folder options -> file types but this gets me nowhere. How can I use winamp to automatically open these files without winamp messing with my icons and file descriptions. After all they ARE NOT WINAMP MEDIA FILES they are avi files, mp3 files, mpeg's etc and I dont need to be told that they open in winamp when I browse a directory.
Any ideas? |
