Odd sound blip

I've just updated from winamp 2 to winamp 5. Everything was sweet, mp3s sounded just the same as in winamp 2 so it hadn't messed up any of my plugins. However, whenever I change song I get a strange sound blip before it plays the song. I've tried switching back to waveout but it doesn't fix the problem. I know it's not just switching to winamp 5 that has caused this problem beacuse it was working fine for several hours after I upgraded. I know it seems a pretty small problem seeing as it's only a little thing between songs, but as I record a lot of tapes I don't want to have this blast of noise between each track.
