how to use downloaded skins

Hi
I have downloaded some skins but I am not sure how to use it.
I put the donwloaded skins in the directory(winamp->skins) but when I go to the skin browser in winamp, I dont see any of my downloaded skins.
where have I don'e wrong?
I have noticed that my existing skin file has extension wsz but my downloaded skin files have extension wal...why ???

Which version of WA do you use? If you've still got 2.x, *.wal-Skins will not be supported.Then you'll have to upgrade to 5.02. If the skins then still are not listed under Main window -> Options -> Skins, then simply doubleclick the *.wal-files and Winamp will automatically switch the skin.

...as long as you installed Winamp 5.02 Full, and not Lite, that is...
