Help, winamp freezes when playing video file

I downloaded a Dat music video file, I change the extension to mpeg (usually it works.) But this file winamp 5.02 can't play. It would load, start to play and i can hear music for 2 sec, no picture was ever shown. When I play the file with window media or real audio it works prefectly. Since I am a huge supporter of winamp, i want to know what is the problem.

When i did File info in winamp, it says :
Video size: 480x576 (15000kbps)
Audio: 48000hz, 16bps, 1ch (64kbps)
Length: 0:00:48
Bitrate: 15591kbps

the length is actully 3.21 mins
under currently used filters:
ahead mpeg decoder
intervideo audio decoder
mpeg -2 mutiplexer
ave fps: 0.00

My system config is p2.4, nivida
geforce 4 ti 4600

please help!
