WINAMP 5 occasionally starts with classic skin, when modern is default????HOW CUm???

as stated above, I have WINAMP 5.02, and modern is the skin of choice. Occasionally it'll open up with the classic skin??? how come?

is there a way to delete that skin so it never happens again?

You know to be honest it has never done that with me....only when my wife opens winamp up???? WHAT'S THAT ALL ABOUT???

System specs? I've never heard about that happening before.

The Winamp Classic skin is built into Winamp file so it can't be deleted. It may be another issue. Do you have trouble with other settings/options being saved?

While WA5 is not running, go to the Winamp folder usually C:\Program Files\Winamp depending on where WA5 installed.
2. Right click on Winamp.ini
3. select Properties
4. General tab
5. make sure Read-only is unchecked
6. OK button
7. do the same for Studio.xnf

Also, be sure to close Winamp before shutting down Windows or the computer. That will allow Winamp to properly save its settings.

Do you have any 3rd party plug-ins? The problem could be related to a dodgy plug-in. It could be a dodgy 3rd party modern skin, causing Winamp to revert back to the "original" skin at startup.

No, dice? Try a full uninstall/reinstall of Winamp 5. Or, it might be the following from Troubleshooters - Common Issues...

Settings not being saved when installed to default dir
