Do you recognize this title list? (not a game)

I need help, desperately.
I found these kickass grunge/rock songs on a news group with no band name, just the song titles. They sound a lot like Soundgarden or Alice in Chains, or even Monster Magnet, only better.
I've searched a lot of music databases for the titles with no luck.
This band is very well polished. Great vocals and excellent guitar work, and the recording is top notch. This is no "unknown" group. Vocals sound a lot like Chris Cornell.

Titles:
1. By the Twenties
2. Hurts Like Dickens
3. The Downflow of Evolution
4. Fallout
5. Knuckle Sammich
6. Metal Jam
7. Arid Ocean Underbelly
8. Owned
9. Torque Converter
10. Way of the Tooth

I'd gladly email any of these songs to anyone who'd like to take a whack at identifying the group.

Did you try running the files through MusicBrainz or the like?

AMG turns up nothing, maybe you have the titles wrong?

Yeah, I ran every title through the search at Gracenote (CDDB), AMG, UBL, MusicBrainz, indiemusic.com, VH-1, and several others. Searched audiofind.com and mp3_hits.com.
Also did a global on the alt.binaries news groups.

Nada.

Very good music, very frustrating search.

Ya know, I had entertained the thought that whoever posted them had done just that, changed the titles and left off the artist name just to fuck with people, or to cause a publicity event, or some shit like that.

Actually, the titles don't corelate to the lyrical content at all that I can see.

"Knuckle Sammich" doesn't have those words anywhere in the entire song. And "The Way of the Tooth" should be titled "The Golden Way" in my opinion. That is the predominant phrase in that tune.

I've been doing arbitrary searches for phrases from the songs in a shooting in the dark hope to get lucky.

all i know is that Knuckle Sandwich is a band name. Maybe they are poorly titled song names that are named after bands.

Have you tried running the lyrics through google? (short snippets, something identifiable)
