Sort and clean up extension list
Hi,
is there a way (plugin maybe?) to - sort the list of available file extensions by name - filter duplicate extensions which are there due to the ability of more than one plugin to handle a certain extension? Thx in advance ...if not, here ist my suggestion for Winamp 5.04

no there isn't any plugin that I know off that does that because I believe that's the expected winamp behaviour LOOOL
![]() And the best way to filter duplicate extentions is to remove the plugin that's causing them. It can cause a real amount of trouble anyway.

The extension list is grouped by handling plugin.
ie. The list is sorted by type, not alphabetically. eg. all waveform, module, midi, video, etc types are listed together by category. The best input plugins will usually include an extension list in the plugin's config. Nullsoft in_wave, in_mp3, in_mod, in_midi, and in_dshow all include such a list, so you can remove a specific extension to force the plugin not to handle it. Some 3rd-party input plugins place an extension list in winamp.ini, eg. Powerplayer II Some 3rd-party input plugins have their own configurable .ini file where you can edit the extension list, eg. Tara. If the plugin doesn't have a configurable extension list, then Dextro's advice is certainly the best. |
