NO sound - problem !!
Hi Everyone,
I'm dealing with this annoying problem. I've had Winamp 3 orso and the music was fine but because of the new version I've downloaded 5. It looks fine..but.. There doesn't seem to be sound coming out. The sample nor my own music plays off. And it's all mp3-format!! I think there's something wrong with the configuration of my sound but maybe someone knows how to fix it. I don't have problems if I play it in Windows Media Player.. But hey I don't like WMP !! Another problem is that I can't hear music on the internet. For example : Mirilya's radio blog. Beneath you'll find her radio blog. I just can't hear. And I've asked and others can hear !! I really hope someone can help me :'( I really get headaches of these freakin' problems

Try the DirectSound Output tweaks from these threads first:
No sound, skippy/choppy/crackly playback, 2-speakers only, high VM usage, etc. http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....26#post1212926 http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=166479 http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=66049 If those don't help, then make sure: 1) The volume slider in the main winamp window is up high enough. 2) The main & wave sliders in Windows Volume Control are up high enough & not muted. If the problem persists, we will need to know more about your computer before we can help any further, eg. pc or motherboard make/model, sound card/chip, Windows OS, DirectX version |
