Mic as an input
i can play my music to my server on winamp through shoutcasr and it plays perfectly as long as i use winampon the input box od shoutcast source.
if i want to talk to people with the mic, i have to change the source from winamp to soundcard input. if i play my music through the soundcard input, it is degraded no matter how much i adjust everything. is there a way to set up the winamp so i can play my mic through that? please Help |

Please display system specs - more specifically the soundcard.
You could also search through the plugins for mic-in support. As far as I know Winamp does not natively support Mic's. For the soundcard: Which settings have you tried? The one that proves usefull for me is the "What 'U' Hear" setting, which sends all sound going through the soundcard via shoutcast. The downside is you will probably need to disable all sounds on AIM/MSN/ICQ/Yahoo/Any other programs you use that export sound, as they will be sent in the data stream along with mic and music. If that setting still "degrades" the music, then I suggest getting a new soundcard. Also, check the soundcard's website for driver updates. It may help with some of the issues. [@imho] man [@imho] I had dreams about unit testing last night :-( [@sim`a] i have nightmares about syntax errors, whats your point |
