end of track problem with ripping CDs

The last half second or so of every track that I've ripped with Winamp Pro seems to repeat itself. This problem has not occurred when I've used other CD encoding applications. I'd hate to know that I just spent $15 on an inferior product.

Here are my Encoder and Ripping settings:

Format: MP3 Encoder v1.2
Mode: CBR Joint Stereo
Bitrate: 192 kbps
Quality: Normal

Max speed: 16x
"Read audio data from CDs using bundled Sonic extraction engine" box checked

I did a clean re-install and disabled the Sonic extraction engine and everything seems to be working fine now.

That's happening to me on a few tracks, especially when one track goes into the next without a break in the music. I'll try and disable Sonic extraction and see what happens. What bitrate and file type are you ripping to ?
