R/O files for not admin users
First: I looked in the forum, but I found no hints.
I made a instrallation as admin, then I changed (after installation) to a user with no admin rights. Now I tried the installed program, but in the \Windows directory I can't write to my .ini-File. I applayed SetFileAttributes NORMAL to the .ini-File in the installation script, the attribus are R/W, but it is not possible to write to the .ini-file. What can I do ? Thank You for the help. |

You need admin rights to access the Windows folder.

Hi Joost,
OK, as admin I can change the rights for a .ini-file in the Windows folder to R/W for all user (properties - security). How can I do this in the NSIS script ? |

There is a plug-in that can set secutiry properties, please search the archive.
