Sound Problem Unique

Ok i have ac realtec 97 audio and it sucks, for one when i mute my sound it works for the right speaker but the left one keeps going and when i turn my volume up i get this high pitched steady squeel. TY if you can help me on that one. and another problem i'm having is on winamp when i play music it only comes out the right speaker, and when i use jet audio i get it from both speakers, everything is hooked up correctly but this is just bogus, PLZ anyone that has a solution fill me in.
thx brandon

1. Visit the pc or motherboard manufacturer's site to get updated drivers for your onboard sound chip.

2. Make sure the balance slider is centralized in the Winamp main window (classic skins). Note: It's in Main window -> Config drawer -> Equalizer in the Winamp Modern skin.

If the problem persists, see here

If posting a reply for further support, please include pc or motherboard make/model, Windows OS, DirectX version, and Winamp version.
