Album Art

Is there any Album Art + Lyrics plugin for winamp 5 that actually READS the tag from the MP3 FILE ITSELF like Media Player8.0 and above, is itpossible with winamp? I'm really looking for something like this and nothing like crawling online database or the folder for lyrics or album art or displaying a slideshow like a windowed screensaver. If anyone knows of something that works as a real TAG reader, please let me know.

And do u know that it does not work? It seems like it's main job is to show "Fatal error: Winamp Video Window not found!" Oh! i forgot i downloaded the latest version that says "Bugs fixed and no more errors.....so on" So the point is, it does'nt work,
...any other sugstions are welcome!

it works perfectly for me... did you install winamp full?

or not install video support when you installed winamp, because then it wouldnt work... but its the best cover viewer ive found for winamp (and ive never had any problems with it)

if you dont want to install winamp full, see if the old version (which does not use the video) works

i havent tried it, because ive been pleased with the other one, so i dont know how well it works..

I still like the Id3 picture box one the best. Only shows the cover art and the window doesn't have a window so it can blend nicely with the wallpaper. But it's bugged to hell with WA5 and only changes the wallpaper when you manually hit forward.

So much potential though

its okay, but i prefer the cover & tag, because i do like them to have a window, plus it displays id3 info... and you can attach it to the main window if you wish..

the only problem with it is you cant add pictures well (it also sees a picture in the folder with the music file... and clicking 'include' will add it to the id3 tags, i believe..)

I hope this helps. I started receiving the error
"Fatal Error: Winamp Video Window Not Found" fter I insalled the Dee DSP plugin. I unistalled this and then
Cover TAG for Winamp5 started working again.

Obviously there are some plugin conflicts going on.

I was wrong. It still happens after I removed the Dee plugin. It happens if you close Winamp without closing the Video Window first. Very annoying, but at least there is a work around.
