Multi-User Computer
I have a computer that other people use with the same username. I dont want them to see the last file I listen/watched. Is there any way to do that?

What are you using to play the files?

TweakXP has the option to clear the "recent documents" bit on reboot/logout.

Better yet, you can tell Windows XP not to retain a trail of recent documents in the first place. You do this by placing a REG_DWORD key in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer with the name "NoRecentDocsHistory" and the value "1". (That's assuming you're adding this registry key under the same username as the one you usually work with.)
For individual apps, though, you'd really have to go fish around in their Options menu and look for something like "Keep a history". |

I am using WinAMP to play the files, but I cant seem to find the option to stop it. Everytime WinAMP restarts the last file is still loaded. I have the lastest version too.

Clear the playlist before exiting Winamp
Playlist -> Manage Playlist / List button -> New Playlist (Ctrl+N) There is also the option of (after doing the above, and closing winamp) go to the Winamp dir, and make the file "winamp.m3u" read-only (c/o rt click -> properties). This way, it can't be written to, and will always be blank when reopening Winamp. Other options include the Winamp Profiler plugin v0.8 | Latest version v0.81 |
