Zoot, I'll give you an instance where virt desktops come in handy (dual monitors blow away virt desktops but still) Imagine that you are writing your final yr report in 1 virt desktop you have your research another oo or msword on another your code, etc. Instead of minimzing and maximising constantly you instead switch through the virtual desktops, nothing gets in the way of another. Enables you to read your research stuff, look at the code then explain in oo. If you have dual monitors it becomes that much easier, I got a mate that runs windows and has 3 17" tft's now thats a wicked setup.
