Optical out and winamp?
i tried recording a minidisc this morning using my new optical out port on my motherboard connected to my minidisc. when i used my PC and winamp it didnt detect the change in tracks and split them up like my cd player does.
does anyone know if winamp is capable of doing this at all? or if pc's even do it? thanks canaan |

@solscud007
use the digital output @canaan what do you want it to actually do? this sounds right to me. ur obviously trying to accomplish something else, but what is it? When you take a hand and chop the fingers off... what do u get? That would be the knub. |

i can record to my minidisc player fine, but it doesnt split up the tracks. when i record from my stereo system, it recognises the track changes and cuts them up accordingly.
i just tested it with a CD in winamp, and it does cut it up. so it looks like its an MP3 thing... any thoughts anyone? |

i just tried it and it worked fine, it split the tracks up just like a CD.
i think it must have been that there wasnt enough gap between the songs on the previous album that i tried. thanks for you help anyway |
