Image Hosting - Free?

I was listening to a comedy channel on Winamp Radio and heard an ad for this site.

Anybody use it?

Looks similar to that UploadIt site, or whatever it was called...

Never tried either though...

Image direct-linked by techimage.net:

[Edit:] Huh?! My head has been up my ass for the past few months Winamp-wise. That lump in my throat is my nose.

Says img code is on, but no dice. Did something change with the forums?

Eh? I mean, the IMG tags don't work. Techimage.net claims to allow direct-linking, and since I haven't posted since... a long time ago, I figure something changed with the forums - the post page says IMG code is on.

It's something with the script.
Instead of using
http://www.techimage.net/getimg.php?img=cheatjail.jpg
use
http://www.techimage.net/files/cheatjail.jpg

Clicking the ads would do good
Would prompt me to fix the script faster.

<edit>
Script fixed, now the link it gives is compatible with the winamp forums
</edit>

From what I understand, the forums don't like it when you put a url with a "?" into image tags.

Yeah, it's a (crappy) way to stop dynamic signatures like my Audio-Tracker one. But unfortunate when a server is being configured right, you can very easily adjust your scripts to appear like a real image. Very often you can just code the question mark ("?") out of your url (eg. something similar to: $img = explode("/",$_SERVER['PATH_INFO']);) or use Apache's mod_rewrite instead.

The reason why it's done in most (as far as I know in all 'market leading') forums is to prevent that newbies post images or links that contain vulnerable code.

not bad just have to watch out for those 500mb accounts I will have coming soon...Cost? Free...as long as you carry 25% of your site with my googles and a direct link to the main site..
Hey! Though I will chuck in unlimited bandwidth/e-mail/ftp.fileman and give free access to the radio streams/public music ftp system I am currently installing some of this now...the accounts should be live in the next couple of mnths...

You could allways ask chev and I could set you an account up similar to Srages if you want? won't be as big as I havent the space yet but reckon I can give you a 100mb no problem..ftp/e-mail included.

btw could any of the sub-domain holders at trybalink who require an e-mail please contact via trybalink - at - trybalink.net

^ I tried it... it seems I don't get it.

I selected a picture, uploaded it. When the upload was done it switched to a screen at 'http://www.techimage.net/upload.php' that simply said "Search" on it. After about 5 minutes, I clicked the refresh button. It took about 90 seconds to download a new screen that simply said "Search" on it.

What happened?

I uploaded a test file and it worked (just now), but it's possible that they are working on the webserver now.
