saving mp3 files

This is probably elementary. I want to save programs that I play on winamp as mp3 files to my computer, then download them to my handheld computer.

What do I need to do to save them rather than make a CD?

Thanks

Michael

You mean Internet Radio?...it's called streamripping. We can't tell you anything about it here other than you can Google for it.

It depends on what you mean by "programs".

eg. If they aren't copyright protected, then you can go to:
Prefs > Plugins > Input > MPEG Audio Decoder > config > Streaming tab:
Checkmark: "Save streams to"
and specify a folder to save them in.
(be sure to uncheck this option when not required).

If they're copyright-protected streams (like Shoutcast),
then yeah, see m²k's post... (or Rules > Streamrippers)
