Web Hosting for Life

Would you buy web hosting for life?
I'm thinking of doing it to raise some startup funds for my web host.

The question is, would people buy it?

What better place to find normal people than the WA forums.

What's your comments on my idea?

Sure I'll do, but how much is "for life"?

* PC: Intel Core 2 DUO E6550 @ 2.33 GHz with 2 GB RAM: Archlinux-i686 with MATE.
* Laptop: Intel Core 2 DUO T6600 @ 2.20 GHz with 4 GB RAM: Archlinux-x86-64 with MATE.

No no - an even better question is, How LONG is life?
Internet businesses last anywhere from 1 month to 10 years.

It'd be guaranteed for 1-2 years, so you'd still be getting a great deal for the money, by then We'd be turning a profit and stay online

I wouldnt do it because if I wanted to stop having a website, I would have hosting space sitting there wasting money.

Now, if It was only like $20, I would go for it.

You could always sell your package to someone else when you're done.

I was thinking around $200.

Germ has a good point, you could pay a lot for web hosting 'for life', and then the company may go belly up in a few months.

That's what sound business planning and budgeting are for. We'd sign a contract with you guaranteeing the web hosting or your money back.
