Media Library - Audio Viewing::Split window missed!

I'm having problems with my media library. I'm really glad for the spit-window view that 5.03 offers, which allows easy construction of playlists because it lists not only individual files, but also Artist or album groupings. Buuuut... I have, somehow, ended up on a single-window view, and this is the third time it has occured (subsequent issues were solved with re-installs, or because I had to re-install my computer).
Here is a small screenshot of my media window, as it appears now. Not, the problem is in the mail file-listing area. I like having the split view inside of that window, as opposed to what it is now.

Try clicking & dragging the ML window as shown in attachment.

and if it isn't ^that^
then right-click on "Audio" view (left pane)
select "edit view"
and then checkmark "artist/album view" instead of "simple media view".

It's one or the other... (or both)

Aha! First, switching to artist/album view did not appear to change the window - then, after inspecing my sceen and your screenshot, I was able to see the little separator line and drag downwards. Sneaky little bugger!
An option to lock that drag bar would be especially helpful, as this is the 3rd time I have 'lost' the more helpful view list.
