need help bout crashing

i have winamp 5.0, never had problems before but recently if i skip a song or sometimes just wile the song is playing it crashes on me, why is this? its frustrating me so please help!

if this makes any difference:

Error Signature
AppName: winamp.exe AppVer: 5.0.0.1 ModName: in_midi.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 000053be

Is it MID files you are having troubles with? If so, try this...

1. Winamp > Ctrl+P (for preferences)
2. Plug-ins > Input
3. double ckick 'Nullsoft MIDI player'
4. Device tab
5. try selecting a different device
Try something that closely resembles your sound card or another device. It may take some trail and error.

Also try updating the sound card drivers.

Have you had a look at the Common Issues section of the Troubleshooters Sticky? Some good crash tips/fixes there.

Otherwise we will need some more info, please post a reply with system specs.

Not sure about this, but does AppVer: 5.0.0.1 mean you have Winamp 5.01 installed?
Be sure to have the latest version of Winamp (some in_midi.dll fixes in 5.03) and after that install the update patch.
