playlist question?
I was wondering if there is a maximum amount of files that can be added to a playlist. I have around 2,100 audio files in one folder and when i go to add files and add them all only 832 show up in the playlist. Is this common or could there be something wrong with one of my mp3's or something. Is there a playlist plugin or anything that could help me get all my files in one playlist?
thanks |

found a solution
ok well while waiting for other peoples input i found a temp solution. if i just open my folder that has my mp3s in it with my computer, then select them and drag them and drop them into a blank playlist it gets all the files. so this works for me. but i am wondering if there is something wrong that i cant add all these files through winamp. whatever though anyone have any ideas?

What's the filename, tags & format of the 833rd file?
ie. look at the last file which loads, then take a look in the folder for the one which comes next alphabetically... btw, just to confirm that there's no playlist size limitation... I've got over 10,000 entries in my main playlist and I don't have any problems adding them all to a new playlist from scratch. |

John Cougar Mellancamp - Lonely 'ol Night.mp3
Size: 5413570 bytes Header found at: 0 bytes Length: 225 seconds MPEG 1.0 layer 3 192kbit, 8647 frames 44100Hz Joint Stereo CRCs: Yes Copyrighted: No Original: No Emphasis: None thats about it, no tags on this one, but when i add all files this one does show up but the filename isnt correct it shows up as "John Cougar Mellanc" and it doesnt play when i double click it, it just skips to a different song. But if i just go do a blank list and add just this file it plays fine. |

Try a full uninstall and reinstall of the most up-to-date version of Winamp5 (currently at 5.03c, full). It's probably a outdated or faulty third-party plugin causing your problem.

There was an issue with this in earlier versions of Winamp 5, wasn't there? I remember reading something about a few people not being able to load the entire contents of a folder if it had like a thousand plus files in it...
