Streaming From the Same Server
Hi all,
I am running a Shoutcast server on a linux machine. Normal thing - DJ's upload using winamp plugin and listners connect to stream. One question: When there are no DJ's on, some of the lads just play an MP3 and upload that to the server. Can I configure the shoutcast server to play an MP3 file in the directory where it is installed? Hope this makes sense. |

Do you mean that when no one is DJing, you just want your server to start playing random songs from a specified directory?
For instance, D:\Music\Singles\ Scotty Doesn't Know |

I'm not very educated on the Linux version of the DNAS, but this link might help. http://festerhead.com/samweb/festerbots.php
Try looking through some of those articles there, might find what your looking for. If you don't, just come back here for more advice. Anyone else reading this that knows how, please inform dodgyscouser. Scotty Doesn't Know |

With Windows, I know there are programs to do this. Or just to make a very long playlist with all your files and hit shuffle with Winamp and the DSP.
