Do NOT understand.
Ok. I see all of these tutorials with the main.bmp file and all of that, but where do you get the bmp file!?
When using things such as the "Skinner Atlas", what am I supposed to do? Just look at it and try to draw in the spots or do you extract it into image files or something? I do not get it. Well...thanks.

Did you download the Skinner Atlas in .wsz format?
The best thing is to extract that file (with Winzip) to a folder called Skinner Atlas. Now you have all files needed for a skin in one folder. I mostly copy the full Skinner Atlas folder to make a new skin (to keep the original files clean). In that new folder you can just start editing the bmp files. (and yes, draw in the spots )You can make that new folder in your Winamp/Skins folder (or move it there later on), so you can load the skin in Winamp to see how it looks. |

LOL! I think I love you.
I didn't know you could extract it with WinZip . I thought you had to open it up in winamp and look at it, go to photoshop and draw some, go back to winamp and look again! ![]() thanks! |

Yeah, but...
OK, but how do I download the file as a zipped file so that I can unzip it?

easiest bet would be to right click and save as,
then save in C/program files/winamp/skins folder after that you can unzip it with winzip mood ate it: sigre moved |

Do you have Winzip on your computer? If so, then simply right-click on SkinnersAtlas.WSZ and choose Winzip -> Open with Winzip. Then, copy the files that are inside into a new folder in your winamp/skins folder, and start your skin from that. If you don't have WinZip installed, simply rename the WSZ file to a ZIP file and open it. If you can't see the extension (".WSZ") then open up a folder (any folder) on your hard-drive. When it's open, go to Tools\Folder Properties, and from somewhere in there you should be able to uncheck a box that "hides file extensions".
