What audio formats are you forward to convert to?
WAV, MP3, MID, AU, SND, RA, OGG, ...? * PC: Intel Core 2 DUO E6550 @ 2.33 GHz with 2 GB RAM: Archlinux-i686 with MATE. * Laptop: Intel Core 2 DUO T6600 @ 2.20 GHz with 4 GB RAM: Archlinux-x86-64 with MATE. |

Try www.rarewares.org for ogg/lame/etc.drop drag&drop encoders.
CDex and EAC can also be used to convert files. |

for some reason, CDex gives me a fatal error everytime i try to run it, using win98 (with lots of spyware on it)
but thx, i tried CDex before, but im quite sure its shareware [edit] freeware means, the software is free for life, not trial [/edit] [edit2] funny that 1.50 works, not 1.51.. heh, go fig [/edit2] |

CDex is as free as it gets.
(open source, released under GPL) Maybe you're thinking of that poikosoft easysomething. dBpoweramp and EAC are free too. |

I did have some quality issues with CDex, god knows why. I used the Lame encoder and some parts of the file I tried to encode came out distorted. Then I tried the same using Audiograbber, also with the Lame encoder, and it came out fine.
