How do i activate voice and music (when i press)

When i chose Soundcard input and i didn't press the Push to Talk or lock , it still sends whatever sounds played even msn ! How can i do as like it just broadcasts the music itself , and only if i PUSH , then they can hear my voice . Pls respond quick .

Limitation of choosing soundcard, all sounds on the PC are directed to the output.

Try configuring your mixer volume and db levels on the input DSP when soundcard is selected.

No offense, but you two don't sound very computer literate.

Go to your soundcard recording mixers, set the input source as "mixer" and it will play the music while you talk.

Do not, under any circumstances, bump your thread within about 30 hours of posting it.

Nobody here is getting paid to help others. Most of us have to manage our stations as well, so we will no doubt finish our stuff before we worry about helping others.

yeah, i'm back.

Ok, because you dont understand how to use the mixer, i can tell you a different way (and he's right about the first line). When you select SOUNDCARD input, it plays the mic, when you select the WINAMP input, it gives out what winamp is playing. So when you want people to hear your mic, then you select the SOUNDCARD input, when you want them to hear the music your playing out of Winamp, select the WINAMP input. Problem solved

If you take that advice, you should know there is a known bug in encoder1 that when you switch back and forth from winamp to soundcard and back again, your encoder will revert to the default 24kbps no matter what you had previously selected. Using another encoder (2 through 5) will solve that problem.

you realy need to change your name -- you didn't listen either.

so smartboy, read the answers again you got from protegechris and there is a Search function on these forums you can use also.

ajust the mixer settings like protegechris told you and yo u should be able to do what you asked.
and again the same answer as djcassio gave you , when in soundcard mode all sounds on the system are broadcasted, so if you don't want the msn sounds on your broadcast , disable msn while broadcasting.

again it means your mixer settings are not right!

or you connected some plugs into the wrong output or input socket.

just fiddle around with settings untill you get the right result. don't say it can't work because several other stations that use this method will prove you wrong.

which one - the sound mixer ( output) ?

did you also do what protegechris told you ?

Go to your soundcard recording mixers, set the input source as "mixer" and it will play the music while you talk.

besides the volume control mixer there is also a recording controle mixer on your system.

if you goto your volume controle setting --> options--> you get a new pop up with two options just below your soundcard - play and record - place a mouseclick on the little circle before record - the things in the window below that will change - you need to place again a mouseclick before the stereomix. close all and it should work.

what is your system os?

you should be able to find your volume controle settings. all you need to do next is choose options- next proporties - and it should appear. ( does for me on windows xp)

post a link to your station after you've solved everything so we can check it for you

It wasn't MY ashtray just so you know

Yeah, "smartboy" you're lucky we were kind enough to help you since it had nothing to do with Shoutcast.

Next time you have a question, you think about it before you post. Ask yourself, "Could this piss someone off" or "Does this post make me look gay?"
lmao

yeah, i'm back.
