Help please?
Well, I went to the skinning section, and found a skin I like, so I pushed download, when it completed I clicked the little upper left icon thingy>>Skins, and I couldn't find it. What gives? ^^ Thanks in advance for your help.

First of all, what skin was it you downloaded?
Is it a modern skin or a classic skin?, modern skins are the type that are all different funky shapes and sizes, classic skins stick to the dimensions of the regular winamp player, 3 main windows etc etc. If it's a modern skin, then only the Full version of Winamp5 supports it, and even then you have to make sure you install the modern skin support plugin, you can get the full version of winamp 5 here. http://download.nullsoft.com/winamp/...mp503_full.exe If you have the full install of winamp5 and you are still having issues installing either classic or modern skins, then try the following. Right click on the skin download link and choose "save target as", save the file to your winamp skins directory when prompted, the usual location of this is. c:\program files\winamp\skins Once downloaded press ALT+S with winamp running to bring up the skin browser, choose your skin from the list of available skins. Remember only the full version of Winamp5 supports both modern and classic skins, you cannot use modern skins on any older version of winamp. |

I need help with this too....
I am running WinAmp 2.0 on a Win98SE PC. I have many times done the exact same thing as the user above mentions. I post the skins in the WinAmp skin folder, but when I try to browse them, they simply do not appear, as if WinAmp does not recognize them. I also tried directly clicking on the skin, and choosing to open in WinAmp. And when I did that, WinAmp opened, but sans my playlist! Frustrating.... Here is an example - I downloaded a classic skin - this is the iTune lookalike - iTunes_4_Winamp_5. I found this under the 'Classic' section - is this really just a 'modern' skin (i.e. Winamp_5)? Thanks |
