Plugin for Nomad Zen Xtra issues PLEASE HELP!!!

I love Winamp and was psyched to use it with my Jukebox thanks to a plugin, but now play is slow and sometimes times out. Its looking for PX.dll which from my searching has something to do with this plug in. Is there anyone on here that has an Xtra and can help me resolve this? Thanks a ton in advance.

The Nomad Zen plugin discussion is here:

Only the plugin author can help you.

PX.dll is actually part of the Sonic CD Burning/Ripping engine.

At a guess, uninstall and reinstall Winamp, but this time uncheck "support for cd burning/ripping" in the installer setup (under Audio Support section).

I was hoping for something a little less drastic, a nice option setting that could be turned off, but you are right. I should uninstall and reinstall. Thanks again for your help.

Well, the only relevant option is:

Prefs > CD Ripping > Ripping tab:
Uncheck "Read audio data with bundled Sonic Engine"

If this is unchecked, then to play Audio CD's using digital audio extraction method, Winamp will look for wnaspi32.dll (aspi layer) instead....

Note: This is only if "Use DAE" is enabled in:
Prefs > Plugins > Input > CD plugin > config
(which it is by default).

But yeah, probably best to reinstall without Sonic Engine...?
