MIDI volume issues...

Hello,

Every time I load a MIDI file in Winamp 5.03, Winamp automatically adjusts my volume to a setting I don't want...(i.e. very, VERY loud). This only happens with MIDIs.

What's even more strange...If I have my Windows volume play control open as I play the MIDI, I can even see the slider get adjusted automatically. Odd. Any ideas on how to correct this?

Thanks,

-Troy

Try this...
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=166526

or this (DirectX 8 or higher)...
1. Ctrl+P
2. Plug-ins > Input
3. double click 'Nullsoft MIDI Player'
4. Device tab
5. select 'DirectMusic / Microsoft Synthesizer (with output)
6. close out of prefs

I prefer the second method because the playback volume can be controlled though Winamp.
