m4a m3u http stream

Greetings,
I am trying to stream some m4a files via http by listing the URLs in an m3u file. I can successfully stream ogg and mp3 files in winamp from this same server via this method. I am able to play m4a files in winamp after installing the plug-in. I am using MIME type audio/x-m4a in association with the m4a files. Anybody able to get this working? Am i missing something?
Thanks

Winamp 5.03 does not support MP4/M4A HTTP streaming with the default in_mp4 plug-in.

This has been added for the upcoming release of Winamp 5.04
